Lavender Bliss: DIY Laundry Powder Recipe

Transform laundry day into a blissful experience with this homemade Lavender Laundry Powder recipe. Crafted with just four simple ingredients – washing soda, baking soda, salt, and powdered lavender buds – this all-natural powder pairs perfectly with Castile soap to leave your clothes fresh, clean, and delicately scented. Say goodbye to harsh chemicals and hello to a gentle yet effective cleaning solution that's kind to both your clothes and the environment. It's laundry day, reimagined.

Commercial detergents rely on surfactants, enzymes, and polymers to get clothes stain free, and neutralizers and perfumes to get them odor free. But it doesn't end there. These substances don't biodegrade and are leached into the groundwater and into the air in your home, contaminating and irritating you and our planet. Castile soap and this DIY laundry powder, on the other hand, are both clean and biodegradable.

In this recipe, you’ll use the Castile soap to accompany the Lavender Laundry Powder. The Castile soap offers powerful cleaning and stain-lifting abilities, while the DIY powder complements it by softening water, which helps to lift stains, whiten clothes, and freshen and soften your fabrics. If you choose to use white vinegar, you’ll provide even more fabric softener power to your laundry load!
