Our Low Waste Business Model: Packaging

At Mommy Turns Green, we're dedicated to creating a sustainable, zero waste business model that not only benefits the planet, but also our customers. Our herbal skin care line is all about connecting with nature and creating daily routines that keep us in harmony with the natural world. So, as business, we understand the importance of minimizing waste and thinking circularly. That's why we've made it a priority to use eco-friendly packaging for our products.

The Everyday | Solid Face Oil comes in simple and sustainable jars made from renewable, sustainably-sourced Kraft paperboard and lined with plant-based wax paper. These jars are fully home compostable and commercially recyclable, so you can feel good about your purchase. The labels on our products can be removed and recycled.

Likewise, the Nutritive | Body Oil and Nutritive | Face Oil come in classic amber glass bottles topped with a smart silver aluminum cap, which are purchased in bulk. These bottles and caps can be recycled and/or reused. Likewise, the roll-on bottles for the Everyday | Hair + Full Brow Oil are refillable. Refill with the liquid of your choice after washing with soap and water, using a straw cleaning brush. The labels on the rollers bottles are removable. Or, also, we offer larger quantities of the Hair + Full Brow Oil that you can refill at home. Just send us a message! When you are finished using your roller, remove the bamboo from the tube for home composting, and thoroughly wash the glass tube and recycle with household recycling. The plastic cap is not recyclable at this time.

As you may have viewed, when we ship our products out, we always package them in cardboard boxes that we've collected or our friends have saved for us. We also wrap the products in reused packaging paper that we've also saved over the years, and we use water-based packaging tape or kraft tape that is made with a natural rubber adhesive and cardboard roll to seal the packages with. We are very proud to say that everything—from the box to the paper stuffing and packaging tape—is recyclable.

We're excited to share our commitment to sustainability and zero waste with you, and we invite you to explore our products and packaging in the shop.

Thank you for supporting a business that cares about the health of our planet, and you!
